We are incredibly grateful we purchased our handsome, fun loving, big guy, Toby two years ago. He is the perfect addition to our family. Not only has he kept our 11 year-old golden retriever feeling young, he has become the constant companion to our 3 year-old daughter. Wherever she goes he follows. He is her gentle best friend. They have such a sweet bond. Toby has brought such joy and entertainment to our daily lives as a family. Whispering Willow Retrievers are reputable breeders who spend a great deal of time ensuring the well-being of their dogs and puppies. Their dogs are beautiful, well cared for, and well rounded. Our Finley has been easy to train, eager to please and loves people and other dogs. Finley loves each of our 3 kids, but her sidekick is Lia. She will follow her anywhere. We live on a lake where she can swim which she loves. We call her the lifeguard of the family. She will closely watch every kid that is in the water and if they go out too far, she will swim out to them and guide them back by putting her soft mouth over the kids’ arm. Finley is a gorgeous girl with her soft flowy coat and joyful disposition. She is the perfect companion; she is so full of love, her happy tail always wagging and sweet eyes. There is nothing better than a Golden Retriever.

My husband and I definitely loved our experience, buying a puppy from Whispering Willow Retrievers, we got her a week after being married with our wedding money, and our sweet Peaches just turned one year old and has been a perfect addition to our family! Finley is absolutely the cutest and well-behaved dog I know! Always eager to please and loves kisses! He is the most amazing dog! Obviously still getting used to potty training but, he is almost crate trained, knows how to sit, stay and come! He’s doing awesome. His name is Ash and he is settling right into his role as a black hills dog! He’s already watched (slept through) fireworks at Mount Rushmore [from a few miles away] where president Trump was in attendance. He’s been on a boat ride, met some other well-behaved dogs, and is getting used to his big sister Maple… or more like, she is getting used to what she can and cannot do with her new puppy. Ash also loves his snuggle puppy that we did wind up getting for a sleeping buddy. Combine that with his mom blanket and he is set for a few hours. Ash did SO well on his car ride back! After a couple whines leaving your house, he settled right in. He prefers to sleep on the center console (for as long as he fits!) and was happy and exploring right off the bat. We absolutely love our Nash! He is spirited, loving & so much fun! We can’t thank you enough for such a great puppy. He loves to sit on the fireplace hearth to keep watch of his little humans. He had his first trip to our cabin! It’s very easy to tell he loves it there as much as we do! His cute personality captivated everyone who meets him! We are so blessed, thank you again! Whispering Willow Retrievers has been a dream to work with from the start, and continues to be a uge help in raising my Josie. When I decided that I wanted a retriever I began to research different breeders and found English Cream Golden Retrievers. When WWR came across my page I absolutely fell in love with their whole set up. They were prompt with answers (and I had a lot of questions), professional, friendly, and were an open book when it came to the care they gave to their animals. It is incredible how much time and love they put into their dogs. It shows in Josies growth, attitude, and demeanor what a great upbringing she had at the start. I get compliments everywhere we go about how beautiful of a dog Josie is, and how sweet and friendly she is. I plan to get her certified as a therapy dog so that we can visit schools and hospitals. Which she will be amazing at. At WWR their dogs are not just dogs, they’re loved and part of their family. That was the biggest draw for me when looking for a breeder.
